These terms are an agreement between you and the individual maintainer of Ekcron ("the maintainer", "we", "us") and cover your use of this website and the Ekcron application (together, "the Project"). If you do not accept them, do not use the Project.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and legally able to enter into this agreement. Do not use the Project if you are barred from doing so under any applicable law or sanctions programme.

Your account

You need an account to use the Project. Keep your credentials secure, provide accurate information, and take responsibility for everything done under your account. Accounts are for your own use and must not be shared or resold.

What you own, and what you are responsible for

You own your content. You keep all rights to the data you upload and to any dataset, adapter, model, or output you produce with the Project. The maintainer claims no ownership of, and asserts no licence over, your data, your trained models, or their outputs, beyond the limited, temporary permission needed to store and process them so the Project can run for you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are solely responsible for that content and its consequences.That includes confirming that:

  • you have the legal right to upload and process every piece of data you submit, including any consent, confidentiality, contractual, or data-protection obligation attached to it;
  • your use complies with the licence of every base model you fine-tune, and with the terms of any third-party model provider you route requests to;
  • anything you build, deploy, publish, or rely on from the Project is lawful and suitable for the purpose you put it to.

The maintainer does not review, moderate, endorse, or verify what users upload or produce, and is not responsible for it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Project to:

  • break any law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • upload content you have no right to use, or data about people who have not consented;
  • process special-category, health, financial, biometric, government-identifier, or other regulated personal data;
  • build or run models intended to harass, defraud, deceive, surveil, or harm people, or to generate illegal material, including sexual content involving minors;
  • generate or automate advice presented as professional legal, medical, financial, or safety guidance;
  • attempt to breach isolation between accounts, access data that is not yours, probe or disrupt the infrastructure, mine cryptocurrency, or circumvent usage limits;
  • redistribute or resell the Project as your own service.

Access may be suspended or removed immediately, without notice, for any use that appears to breach this section.

Model output

Language models produce output that can be inaccurate, biased, offensive, infringing, or entirely fabricated. Evaluation tooling is provided to help you measure quality, but the Project makes no representation about the correctness, originality, legality, or fitness of any output. Output is not professional advice of any kind. Any decision you take using it is yours alone, and meaningful consequences require your own human review.

No charges, and third-party provider costs

The Project sells nothing and adds no margin or fee of its own. You can use the default model endpoints or configure your own provider API key. Where a third-party model provider is involved, whatever that provider charges for its own usage is a matter strictly between you and that provider, on their terms and at their rates. The maintainer is not a party to that relationship and is not liable for costs you incur with any third party.

Compute is finite, so runs may be rate-limited, queued, or capped to keep the environment usable.

Availability, data loss, and security

The Project is experimental and may change, break, lose data, or shut down permanently at any time, without notice or liability. There is no service level, no backup guarantee, and no commitment to retain anything you store.Keep your own copy of anything you care about.

Reasonable technical measures are used (encryption in transit, authentication, encryption at rest for stored provider credentials), but no system is secure and no assurance against compromise, unauthorised access, or data exposure is given or implied. By using the Project you accept that risk. If you discover a vulnerability, please email us rather than disclosing it publicly.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Project is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and taking into account that the Project is supplied free of charge as an experimental, non-commercial undertaking, neither the maintainer nor any contributor is liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business, data, or models, arising out of or relating to the Project — even if advised of the possibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Project is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use it (which is zero) or USD 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities. Where that applies, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the maintainer and any contributor from and against any claim, demand, proceeding, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: the data or content you upload; the models or outputs you produce, deploy, or distribute; your breach of these terms or of any applicable law; or any third-party right you infringe through your use of the Project.

Reporting infringement or misuse

If you believe content processed through the Project infringes your rights or otherwise breaks these terms, email us with enough detail to identify it and it will be reviewed and removed where appropriate.

Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using the Project at any time and request deletion of your account and data. Access may be suspended or terminated at any time, with or without cause or notice, including to protect the Project or other users, or if the Project is discontinued. On termination, hosted artifacts become inaccessible — export anything you want to keep beforehand.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. The date above reflects the current version; there is no notification mechanism, so review this page before relying on anything here. Continuing to use the Project after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the maintainer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts competent for that place. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us by email and attempt to resolve the matter informally.

General

If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in force. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; the maintainer may assign them to any successor of the Project. These terms, together with the privacy notice, are the entire agreement between you and the maintainer regarding the Project, and supersede any prior understanding. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency, employment, or joint venture between us.
